# How does the team profit?

When a new Blobble gets minted in the [Playground ](https://university.blobble.xyz/game-play/how-to-mint-a-blobble)or an unhealthy Blobble gets adopted in the [Orphanage](https://university.blobble.xyz/game-play/how-to-adopt-a-blobble), all the paid bnUSD goes through the BST minter contract:

* 70% goes to the [Blobble Treasury](https://university.blobble.xyz/game-play/blobble-treasury) 
* 30% goes to the Blobble Foundation (team + marketing).

[Minting and Redeeming BST](https://university.blobble.xyz/bst-token-information/token-mechanics/bst-minting-and-bnusd-redeeming) incurs a 5% tax:

* 95% of minted or redeemed BST gets issued to the user
* 4% of minted or redeemed BST gets added to the bnUSD in the treasury
* 1% of minted or redeemed BST goes to the Blobble Foundation (team + marketing)
